So here's our favourite smurf, and she don't look best pleased. Also, she appears not to be a giant armoured squid-creature. Which is a plus. This is a detail of one of the covers for my upcoming Angel Mini-series: 'Illyria: Before the Aftermath'
Whattttttttt. That is one of your best covers ever. So simple, yet so dynamic. And what an announcement! I'm very excited. Not so sure about the title, but c'mon, that cover is freaking great. I'm guessing that this is a bridge between "Angel: After the Fall" and "Angel: Aftermath"?
Whatever the case may be, let me say, Mr. Mooney, that you made my day. This is the last day of class and the eve of finals week, and in less than an hour, I've got to recite a poem to a teacher from memory (don't know much of it), later tonight I have to hand in a 12 page paper I've yet to proofread, and then I have to study for a final tomorrow, write a paper for Thursday, study for two finals on Thursday, and meet deadline on a one-act play of mine by Thursday morning. So needless to say, I'm having a shitty day, but this helps in a major, major way. Thanks, dude!
Shouldn't 'Illyria: Before the Aftermath' shorten to...
...'Illyria: Math' ?
Jokes aside, bit of an awkward title, no? I can understand the motivation for it - tie-in to other title with a bit of an ironic twist to it - but it sounds hokey. 'After the Fall,' 'Aftermath,' 'Before the Aftermath' - let's let this one go.
Um. Crap. I'm not really working on an Illyria mini-series, I just made that title up cos I thought it was kinda funny. I thought it sounded like an obvious joke title, but I guess not. I feel bad.. This image is indeed from one of the three covers to my new book, but it's not really an Illyria-specific tale. My bad. Sorry for re-shitting your day Pat.
Oh. The title did sound pretty jokey, but the idea an Illyria specific miniseries, especially with a cover as evidence, seemed pretty real. Oh well. Damn.
Is this from the same thing as the Wesley image? And is it something new, or just an episode adaptation?
Day is still sort of made, I guess. Cool cover and I did well on the poetry reading. But.... damn.
Yeah, its from the same book as the Wesley image Pat. And to be honest, now I wish the images WERE from an Illyria/Wes miniseries set during Season 5 or ATF... In fact, I think I should pitch that to Chris Ryall since there's obviously a large desire out there for such a book. I'll check with Chris whether or not it's cool to come clean with the actual title. And Luke. They do. They really do.
Sound good Mr. Mooney. And yes, I very much agree, a Wes/Illyria mini is very in demand. As much as I think the idea of episode adaptations is pretty cool, I think the fandom at large would be quicker to scoop up something new. I mean, if there's ever any lack of writers, I know this guy named Pat something or other who always has a pitch/script ready....
But I digress haha.
I'd buy any Angel-related thing you're involved with, though, even if it's a "The Adventures of Loan Shark and Kr'ph" one-shot. Actually, that sounds really good.

Well, smurf you Moondog. Get my smurffing hopes up, and then smurf on my parade. :)
I've got to see if that cartoon is out on DVD.

Any hints as to what this is for, however, will significantly un-shit once more. Hint? Nudge? Elbow-to-ribs?
