Slayalive Sketches

Until now, I still owed a couple of pieces to two members of the Slayalive Buffy/Angel forum, Sagewoman and D'hoffryn(or Jean and Graham respectively), so I figured it was high time that I got my act together. I spent a bit longer on each of these pieces as the guys had been waiting a looong time for them and I wanted to make with the nice.
That, and I have plans for these two badboys down the line...
Illyria is always fun to draw, and honestly I could draw Wes for the rest of my career and be happy.

The Shadow Commission

What a cool looking character. Any chance I get to draw Tommy-guns is A-ok with me.
I often wish I could evoke that noir-ish pulpy feel evidenced in such classic books from back in the day.
Michael Kaluta, Milton Caniff, Hal Foster...
Maybe with a few more years practice...

Morrissey Commission

This was a strange one...
A piece for Nick Roche's sister Laura: 'Shirtless Morrissey'.
I don't remember which episode of Buffy he appeared in, but I bet it was emotionally draining.
Seriously though, actually had great fun with this, love drawing that quiff as if it has a mind of its own. Threw on The Smiths for the day and it turned out to be a larf.

Buffy Commission

The main lady herself.
The client asked for an assured, season-seven era pose, ready to pop open a can of whoopass at a moments notice. Whether I managed that or not is anybody's guess...

Cordelia Commission 2 - Cheerleader Variant!

Am I betraying some pathetic clichéd male fantasy by drawing this piece?
Yes. Yes I am.
Is there anything more perfect than Charisma in a cheerleading outfit? I think not, my friends.
I still miss the high-school years of the show... GO RAZORBACKS!!
