Nice Moon, very different from the other mummy covers. Not sure about Lisa's colours on this one.
Still think issue 3's cover is the best.

If this cover were a girl, i'd definately be in love with her.

I never was the best at spelling Williards... And Rich, I really like the colours on this one! I think I still like issue 1's cover the best. Apparently it'll be the trade cover as well so thats cool.

acctualy the more I look at this piece the more I like the colours.

And speaking of the trade...you can preorder it right now at Amazon.com and save an additional 5% off the already huge discount they're offering (this is at the U.S. branch of Amazon).

Stephen Mooney said...

You can? That was quick! I'd better hurry up and finish drawing it!

Ha! Steve-O, I'm one step ahead of you...barely. Kinda makes you wonder if we're in the same situation Rick is in on that great cover for issue #4...or if we're the stick of dynamite itself! Time is a-tickin', so I'm off to finish the script for issue #3 (and some tweaks on issue #2). I'll be updating my blog later today as long as I get all this sorted out without going ka-boom!

I think the positioning of the shotgun makes the picture very phalic and that he looks like he's having a shotgun wank. don't know how to work in the dynamite though. maybe he's gonna stick it up his bum for shits and giggles.

Oh Fran, you've such a way with words. Hard luck last night, might need a bit of the old penalties training...

Declan Shalvey said...

Well, getting it in the goal would be a start....

And yeah Flan, you have a great talent for bringing things down to the lowest denominator. A talent i also excell at.

Dec.

Hey Davey! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you properly yet, doing 12-14 hours a day on the Mummy, so spare time hasn't quite arrived. A 'Trade Paperback' or 'Graphic Novel' is simply the term for the collected edition of the series. All the issues lumped into one book.

I like it, colours suit the scene. But the one a couple of posts back is fantastic with the match, Frank Miller shit! I still think you should give up this drawing malarky and go back to packin' bags in Tescos. You'll never get anywhere in the comics business...

Trust me, you haven't seen anything yet. Everybody is in for a real treat if they're fans of Steve's work. And after this series, he'll probably need his own fanclub. This guy is major league. I can't wait until everybody sees the pages I've seen. His work is going to knock you for a loop!

Well, I dunno about that Josh, but I appreciate the hell out've the kind words. There's absolutely no better creative partner to be working with on this. I just draw what the script says!
