Darkness Falls

Working away on the second issue of the mummy, its great fun. Love this type of swashbuckling pulp. Right up my alley. Here's a little random panel, as I don't wanna spoil anything. The lights have just gone out... and the fit's about to hit the shan.

Too bad we can't release the comic with a soundtrack. =)

Hey man! Yeah, that'd be sweet... Josh made me a soundtrack cd with songs and pieces of music to inspire me as I draw, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Intense tribal rhythmic stuff, couple with balls-to-the-wall rock tracks, it heally gets my head in the right place. I've listened to it MANY times! Not to mention the t-shirt he sent along with it, OR the signed copy of his Scarface trade... This guy's an all-service writer!

I like this one a lot honey....might give me an idea for some art for our house...if there's any room left and you have time to do it!

Enter the shameless self promotion department: For those of you looking to score a copy of my pre-Mummy book, called SCARFACE: DEVIL IN DISGUISE (also from the fine folks at IDW Comics), check out www.bookgasm.com. They're giving away 3 signed copies. The answer to the question relates to the project Steve and I are currently working on. So if you visit Steve's blog, or mine, the odds are in your favor that you'll answer the contest question correctly.

Steve, one of these days we'll have to post the groovy photos of you stylin' and profilin' in that shirt I sent your way. Classic stuff that would put Zoolander to shame! The T-shirt is a badge of honor for surviving that balls-to-the-wall mix CD I asked you to listen to. By the way folks, it's a two way street here. Steve's art brings so much to the table, AND it's actually inspired some of the writing behind the story (I'm halfway thru the third script). Mooney is the bee's knees!
