Angel Commission 2

Second recent Angel piece, again with the step-by-step just to show the process. I do this likeness stuff a LOT, and it comes easier to me now than it used to, but I'm sure looking forward to drawing some comics where the characters don't have to look like specific people! I threw some red on there at the end, just cos it looks cool, really.

Would you ever throw a big layer of red over a physical commission with a Copic or something?

That's a reeaaalllly nice commission sir. Came out great. The red is sweet too, especially cuz of the lighter tone on top. Without that, I think it would have flattened the image. Works great the way you have it.

Definitely, thomps. In fact I was really tempted to with this. But there's always the fear that just because I think it looks cool, doesn't mean the client will agree. I guess I could always just check with them beforehand. I mean, what inked image DOESN'T improve with some red?
