Making My Mark

Some recent sketches from the Eclectic Micks blog, done with copic design markers. Love working with them, as they give a lovely consistent colour, blend well and have brush tips with just the right amount of resistance. These pieces are a lotta fun to do.

i must unlock your secrets!

Hey Jamie, these were all just drawn on normal comics bristol board, though I should really be using proper marker paper to get a better effect from the pens. Which i am meaning to do soon.

I like how you captured her strength considering she is in a towel. A different choice for depicting Cordelia how grew to become such a strong heroine on the show, a more innocent pre-warrior view of her.

I also really like the Iron man.

Will always love, love, love both Charisma Carpenter and Cordelia Chase.
The feistiest, most kick-ass female character on television back in the day.

That is for sure, you have to show that ass-kicking side to Cordelia in your next drawing. :)

They are really cool, are they all yours to keep?

It depends, some are for commissions or the like, some are mine. I still owe a cordelia to a specific Angel fan for instance(really must do that soon) but eventually I part with most of them at conventions.

They’re awesome, I can’t wait to see Ironman 2, :) don’t worry too much about the Cordelia, lol as long as she is showing kick-ass strength (and yet compassion) in the drawing I will joyfully wait a life time for this gracious honour sensei ... :) ha ha thanks...
